Step 2: Make the Dough
- Add sugar, salt, eggs, and 1 cup of flour to the bowl with the yeast mixture. Using a dough hook, run the mixer on low speed until just incorporated. Add the remaining half cup of flour and mix at medium speed. Continue beating, scraping the bowl as needed, for about 15-20 minutes. The dough should start coming together in the center of the bowl and attach itself to the dough hook, slapping the sides of the bowl. If you don’t see this after 10 minutes, add 2-3 tbsp of flour. Beat until you reach this stage, for a total of about 15-20 minutes.
