Cake Preparation
- Preheat oven to 175ยฐC, heat up and down.
- Grease two 20 cm round molds with butter and flour. Add a circle of baking paper at the base.
- Mix flour, cornstarch, chocolate powder, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Sift 2 or 3 times.
- Mix yogurt and milk in a large glass or jug.
- In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add vanilla.
- Mix in red food coloring.
- Add 4 tablespoons of flour mixture and half of milk mixture to the red batter. Gently fold in.
- Repeat with remaining flour and milk mixtures.
- Mix vinegar and baking soda, let it bubble, then fold into the batter.
- Divide batter into prepared molds, smooth the surface, and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool for 15 minutes, then unmold and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Wrap each cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
