Cake Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 175ยฐC, heat up and down.
  2. Grease two 20 cm round molds with butter and flour. Add a circle of baking paper at the base.
  3. Mix flour, cornstarch, chocolate powder, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Sift 2 or 3 times.
  4. Mix yogurt and milk in a large glass or jug.
  5. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until smooth.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  7. Add vanilla.
  8. Mix in red food coloring.
  9. Add 4 tablespoons of flour mixture and half of milk mixture to the red batter. Gently fold in.
  10. Repeat with remaining flour and milk mixtures.
  11. Mix vinegar and baking soda, let it bubble, then fold into the batter.
  12. Divide batter into prepared molds, smooth the surface, and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  13. Let cool for 15 minutes, then unmold and cool completely on a wire rack.
  14. Wrap each cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
