Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove it from the heat and stir in 1 cup of sugar until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add this dry mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix well.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
  6. Carefully drop dollops of peanut butter on top of the brownie batter, and then sprinkle the chocolate chips over it.
  7. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter and chocolate chip layer.
  8. Use a knife or a skewer to create swirls in the batter, mixing the peanut butter and chocolate chips into the brownie layer.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for a while before cutting them into squares.
