8 in 10 women would be more attracted to men with tattoos, study finds

Have tattoos become a new criterion of seduction? This is what a recent study conducted by the extramarital dating site Gleeden seems to reveal. According to the results of this survey, carried out among a panel of 5,000 heterosexual women, in a relationship or married, 8 out of 10 women would be more attracted to men proudly displaying tattoos.

To better understand female body ink preferences, Gleeden surveyed these women about their tastes and opinions. The results are clear: 81% of respondents admitted to being attracted to men with a tattoo on their arm. In addition, 58% of them find that tattooed men give off a more pronounced aura of virility. As for the size of tattoos, 73% of the women surveyed expressed their preference for large designs covering a complete area of ​​the body.

But what explains this craze for tattooed men? According to experts, tattoos reflect the image of the “bad boy”, a masculine stereotype that seems to captivate the hearts of many women. “There is something fascinating about a man who dares to assert his personality through tattoos,” confides Laura, 32. “It shows that he is a little rebellious, that he is not afraid to think outside the box,” she adds.

For sociologist Julien Durand, this attraction to tattooed men is part of the evolution of codes of seduction. “Today, women are attracted to men who embrace their individuality, who stand out from the crowd.
