  1. Cream the butter in a bowl until it is soft and fluffy, but still retains its shape.
  2. Add salt and powdered sugar to the butter, and mix until pale and fluffy.
  3. Combine the egg yolk into the mix and continue to mix until well-combined.
  4. Add the sifted soft flour and almond flour to the mix and combine in a cutting motion to form a dough.
  5. Shape the dough into a stick and let it rest in the refrigerator for about an hour to allow it to chill and set.
  6. Divide the chilled dough and shape it into bars. Top one bar with crushed almond slices and the other with granulated sugar.
