1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, vanilla sugar, sugar, and dry yeast.
2. Make a well in the center and pour in the lukewarm water, egg, and oil.
3. Gradually add the buttermilk, mixing until the dough comes together.
4. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
6. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
7. Cut the dough into rectangular shapes.
8. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet to 375°F (190°C).
