For the Biftekis:
– 500g ground beef
– 1 egg
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 3 cloves of garlic, pressed
– 2 tbsp gyro spices
– 1 tsp mild paprika powder
– 1 tsp hot paprika powder
– 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
– Pepper
– 1 tbsp Maggi seasoning
– 1 slice of sandwich bread
– 100g sheep’s cheese

– 1 cup long-grain white rice
– 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
– 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– Salt and pepper to taste
