First, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, Italian sausage, and onion over medium heat. Once they are cooked, drain any excess grease from the skillet.

Next, in a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, beaten egg, half of the dried parsley, half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until everything is well combined.

Now, it’s time to assemble your lasagna. Spread a thin layer of the spaghetti sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Arrange a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture, and then a layer of the meat mixture. Repeat the layers until all of your ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of sauce on top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 25 minutes, or until the lasagna is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden.

Once the lasagna is ready, let it sit and cool for about 10 minutes before serving. This will allow it to set and make it easier to slice. Enjoy your homemade lasagna with a side salad and some garlic bread for a classic comfort food meal that is sure to please.
