First, press the tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a clean towel and placing a heavy object on top for 15-30 minutes. Once pressed, cut the tofu into small cubes.

In a small bowl, mix together the chili sauce, maple syrup, and soy sauce to create the sauce for the tofu.
Chop the bell pepper, garlic, and scallions. Finely chop the cilantro for garnish.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil. Once hot, add the tofu cubes and let them cook until they’re golden and crispy on all sides, about 10-12 minutes.

Once the tofu is crispy, remove it from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the bell pepper, garlic, and scallions for a few minutes until they’re slightly tender.
