15-Minute Creamy Shrimp and Mushroom Sauce

Here’s what you’ll need for 4 servings:

– 500g of shrimp, peeled, with or without tails, fresh or frozen
– 250g of mushrooms (button mushrooms and/or porcini and/or morel, …)
– 2 tablespoons of butter (or olive oil)
– 1 shallot, peeled and finely chopped
– 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
– 1/2 cup (125ml) of vegetable or chicken broth (or reconstituted with water and a bit of bouillon powder)
– 1 cup (250ml) of heavy cream (I used 1½ cups | 375ml)
– 1/2 to 1 cup (50g to 100g) of grated parmesan (or other cheese of your choice, gruyère, cheddar, …)
– 1 tablespoon of Italian herb mix or Herbes de Provence (or fresh herbs to your liking: parsley, cilantro, …)
– 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
– Salt, pepper to taste
