Step 1: Prepare the Baking Dish

Line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk.
  2. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil. Once boiling, let it cook for exactly 5 minutes, stirring consistently.

Step 3: Add Chocolate and Vanilla

  1. Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly add the chocolate chips and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir vigorously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
